Case Study - Bespoke Carriage Gate

Fine Joinery were approached recently by a committee representing the residents of a group of 15 properties on an exclusive estate at Clapham Park in Bedford. The requirement was for a bespoke carriage gate to match existing gates and fencing which were already in situ.

The initial stage required a site visit to see the existing installation and take measurements and photographs. On return to the workshop, we carried out further research to ensure that we achieved a good match to complement the existing installation. Once we had a final design, we then set about constructing the new gate.

Once on site to install the new gate, all of the remnants of the old gate had to be removed to make way for the new one. Existing fittings were reclaimed from the original gate in order to further emapthise with and complement the existing structure.

The result is a brand new gate which blends perfectly with the existing structure.
